It's official. We're completely OBSESSED with Kenzo. The love affair began with the newly revamped label's first Paris Fashion Week show last October, which featured Chloe Sevigny on the runway and Jason Schwartzman behind a drum kit. Our hearts swelled even more with the crazy colorful pre-fall presentation turned out to be our dream wardrobe. But the fall 2012 show—which took place in a space-age looking French university building with 50 models walking a runway that spanned four floors—catapulted us to beyond smitten with its bold mix of pattern, color, print (GRAPES!), accessories (WALNUTS!), and a front row cheer section that included Robyn and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Did we mention there were Magnolia Bakery cupcakes flown in from New York and placed on every seat? (#delicious) But, seriously, the clothes were even yummier.

To recap, Kenzo hired new creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (the duo behind Opening Ceremony) to infuse the Japanese/Parisian label with new energy. Since their tenure there, they've made each fashion show an EVENT that has easily become the most coveted ticket at Paris Fashion Week. We love that they've created a new Kenzo trademark, namely a tiger head sweater that comes in a variety of colors for fall, and there's an overall youthful feel to the collections that playfully mixes zigzags with checkerboards and chain link with stripes. Somehow, this all seems to work perfectly as a wardrobe that celebrates individuality, creativity, and bold street style. We thought the entire black and white outfit with stripes on checkerboard on lattice was a standout and seemed perfect for Robyn next fall. Also, the black and white saddle shoe creeper hybrids were zhamaze.

Delfina Delettrez created a wide variety of accessories but we're most excited about the pieces she made that featured walnuts preserved in resin and walnut shells made out metal. (NUTS!) Famed Spanish art director Juan Gatti was responsible for the grape prints and also did Kenzo's spring 2012 advertising campaign. At a time when designers don't seem to be having any fun anymore (both with the clothes and with the staging of their shows), it's refreshing when someone truly goes for something unique and different or is willing to branch out and collaborate with other creatives. Frankly, we're glad to see colorful outerwear and accessories like vibrant hats and printed bags for fall that diverge from the boring all-black minimal path that has been popular in recent years too.

Diddy and Robyn seemed to be having super fun times while sitting all twinsies-style on the Kenzo front row. Diddy looked SHARP in a tan suit and streamlined black boots, and *gasp* he even cracked a smile. Robyn looked demure yet confident in a cream zigzag dress with a kicky skirt, white tights, and her fave platform boots. They look relaxed, cool, and modern—like Kenzo itself. And we hope they devoured their cupcakes seconds after this photo was taken.
